Carie Gaytán is the vice president of planning at Newmont Mining Company. Ms. Gaytán has progressed through her career as a finance and accounting professional, working across a variety of industries including industrial manufacturing, chemicals, defense, mining, and health care. Prior to joining Newmont in June 2014, she served in financial leadership roles as division CFO, operations controller, and financial planning & analysis leader within Eaton Corporation’s hydraulics and electrical businesses from 2007 to 2014. Previous experiences include global operations finance with Koch Industries, Six Sigma and financial planning and analysis at Johns Manville, and accounting with Nevada Goldfields. She earned her MBA from the University of Minnesota and her undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver, and is a certified public accountant. Additionally, Ms. Gaytán served in the Minnesota and Colorado Army National Guard from 1993 to 2002. She currently lives in Highlands Ranch, Colorado with her four children.
